I went to the Arizona Opry in Apache Junction, Arizona on April 24 while in town visiting Mom and Dad. This was my first visit to the Opry. I liked the sign in the parking lot. Dinner is served prior to each performance and the meal was very good.
The outside of the building could use a little updating. The Opry was started, and is still operated by the Barleen family. They have been entertaining people for over 30 years.
Bill Wells is on the guitar. To Bill's right is Howard Schneider and on the far right is Chris Kennison. Most of the regular and guest members of the band play a variety of instruments.
Mark Lucus during one of his numbers.
Visitors can purchase CD's and there is also a gift shop that had a large variety of gifts and toys for sale.
There are two large screens on both sides of the stage where images and videos are shown during the performances.
Various musical instruments and tributes to members of the family are on display. This violin belonged to Charles Barleen who passed away in 1947.
This is good entertainment at a reasonable price, so drop in if you get a chance.
